Qualifications

• Red Seal Certification and advanced culinary expertise.
• Several years of professional chef experience with progressive kitchen roles.
• Post-secondary education in culinary management or related field.
• Food Safety/Food Handler's Certification holder.
• Smart Serve Certification or provincial equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily culinary operations with hands-on leadership in kitchen and dining areas.
• Provide culinary training and operational support to ensure high-quality, policy-compliant service.
• Oversee kitchen and dining staff to deliver high-quality food services.
• Collaborate with General Manager to implement culinary strategic plan for resident satisfaction.
• Support development of culinary staff and optimize staff engagement.
• Manage food budget with approved vendors and inventory controls.
• Ensure compliance with food quality, service presentation, and safety standards.
• Implement seasonal national menus reflecting resident preferences and regulations.
