Atria Retirement Canada in Red Deer, Alberta is seeking a dedicated cook to join our on-site kitchen team. You will prepare meals for residents, following established recipes and standards to ensure quality and consistency.

You'll collaborate with the Executive Chef to maintain high food quality, safety and timely service, while keeping work areas clean and temperatures logged. We offer paid holidays, PTO, comprehensive health benefits, retirement match, tuition reimbursement, and growth

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents, read and write English.
• Minimum 1-3 years experience as a cook in hospitality or healthcare.
• Food handlers permit as required by provincial law and/or Company standards.
• Able to read and follow recipes and production guides, cleaning schedules, and logs.
• Knowledge of food handling, preparation, cooking and service.

Aufgaben

• Prepare and cook food in the community according to standards.
• Work with Executive Chef to keep residents satisfied with food and dining programs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary kitchen at all times.
• Open and/or close the kitchen as required.
• Follow cleaning schedules and ensure proper food receiving and storage.
• Assist with special events, banquets, and themed meals.
