Job summary

Atria Retirement Canada is seeking an Executive Chef to lead the day-to-day operations of the community kitchen and dining venues. You will drive hospitality, ensure residents' tastes are indulged, and act as manager on duty when required.

You will interview, hire, train, and develop staff, manage budgets, maintain inventory, and uphold safety and quality standards in line with company policy. Collaboration with front-of-house and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Culinary Arts Degree and/or Chef Certification strongly preferred.
• English communication with residents, staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Interview, hire, train, develop, and manage assigned staff, including scheduling.
• Maintain budgets for Culinary Services, including spend on food, supplies, and labor.
• Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies, small wares, and tableware; ensure purchasing standards.
