Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program.
  • Current registration with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).
  • Medication Administration course completed upon hire and recertification maintained annually.
  • CPR and First Aid certification is required.
  • Food Safe certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and mobility support.
  • Support move-ins/move-outs and end-of-life care with dignity.
  • Document observations and interventions, report changes to care leadership.
  • Respond promptly to call bells and resident requests.
  • Maintain infection control policies and regular audits, and ensure confidentiality.
