Cogir Senior Living is seeking an Activities Coordinator to plan and implement meaningful programs for residents in collaboration with the General Manager. The role requires compassion, initiative and teamwork to improve residents’ quality of life.

Experience with seniors is an asset; CPR and First Aid certification are required, and a Vulnerable Sector Check may be requested. Training and inclusive hiring practices are emphasized.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organization and implementation of meaningful programs for residents.
• Create monthly newsletters for residents.
• Maintain good communication with residents, families and staff.
• Respect and promote Residents' Rights & Responsibilities.
• Attend in-service education to stay current on elder care practices.
• Participate in team meetings to plan programs with residents' interests in mind.
• Transport residents to scheduled outings and events.
• Uphold the organization’s ethics, morality and integrity.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
