Job summary

EXP in Calgary is seeking a Senior Land Development Design Technologist to lead complex land development projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, and roadways, in collaboration with project engineers, managers and discipline leaders. You will mentor juniors, review calculations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage budgets and schedules, and prepare drawings and record documents.

A Civil Engineering degree (C.E.T.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive experience in land development projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and oversight across projects.
• Strong knowledge of municipal design standards and permitting.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and schedules.
• Excellent leadership, communication and client management skills.
• Ability to work independently and with teams; valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee design of land development projects (water mains, sewers, drainage, grading, roads).
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technologists.
• Perform and review complex design calculations ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Manage projects from concept to completion; coordinate with clients and authorities.
• Prepare and validate engineering drawings and record documents.
• Ensure quality control and timely delivery across deliverables.
