Job summary

EXP is actively seeking a Senior Land Development Drafter to join our Calgary team. You will lead senior-level drafting reviews, ensure compliance with Calgary standards and EXP CAD rules, and mentor junior drafters while supporting roadway and utility design on Land Development projects.

The role requires 8+ years of land development drafting, strong AutoCAD Civil 3D expertise, and a client-focused, detail-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology with 8+ years of land development drafting experience.
Strong interest in building a career in the Land Development industry.
Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook (an asset)
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle
Proven ability to work independently or as part of a project team
Strong multitasking skills, with an enjoyment of meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

Senior level drafting reviews of drawing packages prior to submission ensuring compliance with City of Calgary standards and EXP drafting and CAD standards
Provide guidance to junior drafters and responsible for checking work completed by junior staff
Assist (along with others) with onboarding and training of new team members
Provide drafting support for roadway and utility design on Land Development projects
Use AutoCAD Civil 3D to produce accurate, detailed drawings inclusive of Residential Roadways and intersections, Water, Sanitary and Storm Distribution systems and grading and earthworks plans
