Irving Oil is seeking a Senior IT Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier management for IT categories. You will drive cost savings and risk mitigation while partnering with Technology, Legal, Finance, and cybersecurity teams.

The role emphasizes ERP/SAP involvement, cloud, AI, and digital transformation initiatives, with a strong focus on delivering value through vendor governance and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management in IT
• Experience negotiating technology agreements (software, SaaS, cloud, infra, AI)
• Proven delivery of category strategies, supplier performance improvements, cost savings

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT category strategies across software, cloud, infra, telecommunications, AI-enabled solutions, and professional services
• Lead RFx processes, supplier evaluations, commercial assessments, contract negotiations and execution
• Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Legal, Finance, and stakeholders to support initiatives
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, governance, and continuous improvement
• Identify cost savings, optimize total cost of ownership, mitigate risks
• Analyze market trends, licensing models, emerging technologies, and sourcing opportunities
• Support SAP, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, AI, data/analytics, and infrastructure modernization
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contracting standards
• Develop business cases, sourcing recommendations, and executive presentations
• Mentor junior team members and foster a collaborative, high-performing environment
