Irving Oil Ltd. is seeking a Senior IT Procurement Specialist to lead strategic sourcing, negotiate technology contracts, and manage key supplier relationships in the IT category.

You will drive category strategies across software, cloud, and AI-enabled solutions, partnering with Technology, Legal, and Finance to deliver value and reduce risk. The role requires 10+ years in IT procurement with strong negotiation and analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, contract management, or supply chain roles in IT.
• Proven experience negotiating IT software, SaaS, cloud, infrastructure, and professional services agreements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies across software, cloud, infrastructure, and AI-enabled solutions.
• Lead RFx processes, supplier evaluations, and contract negotiations.
• Partner with Technology, Cybersecurity, Legal, Finance, and business stakeholders to support strategic initiatives.
• Manage supplier relationships, performance reviews, governance, and continuous improvement.
• Identify cost savings, optimize total cost of ownership, and mitigate risks.
• Support SAP, cloud transformation, cybersecurity, AI and data initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contracting standards.
• Develop business cases and executive-level sourcing recommendations.
