Job summary

Coffee Meets Bagel in Canada seeks a Senior or Staff Infrastructure Engineer to own AWS infrastructure, reliability, security, and cost optimization. You will lead infrastructure as code, deployments, observability, and developer workflows to ship safely and efficiently.

You will expand into data infrastructure, security, and AI-assisted development while collaborating with backend engineers and product teams.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience owning production cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve AWS infrastructure for reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Build and improve infrastructure as code, Kubernetes, deployment automation, and CI/CD.
• Improve observability, incident response, capacity planning, and production readiness.
• Operate and modernize shared data infrastructure including databases, caches, search systems, backups, and migrations.
• Own infrastructure cost visibility and optimization, including AWS spend; collaborate with stakeholders on budgeting.
• Own infrastructure security priorities with external advisor, turning risks into actions.
• Collaborate with backend engineers on architecture and reliability, expanding into backend systems as needed.
• Apply AI-assisted development across infrastructure design, implementation, automation, testing, and documentation.
