Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Canada seeks a Structural Civil Engineer to join the Hydropower and Dams team. You will design hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities, and support rehabilitation of related infrastructure across Canada and internationally.

The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience, a civil engineering degree with structural focus, and membership (or path) with OIQ. Proficiency in ADA, SAP2000, MathCAD, and CADAM 3D is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with structural specialization; master's degree is a plus.
• 5–10 years of relevant experience in design of building, bridges, and hydraulic structures.
• Must be or eligible for membership in the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
• Proficient in ADA, SAP2000, MathCAD, and CADAM 3D.
• Willingness to conduct site visits and travel.

Responsibilities

• Perform the structural design of hydraulic structures and hydroelectric facilities.
• Rehabilitation of hydraulic structures and associated infrastructure.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary activities and lead design meetings.
• Produce preliminary and detailed engineering deliverables.
• Prepare and verify structural calculations and notes.
• Develop design reports, drawings, and technical specifications.
• Involve in tendering and construction deliverables production.
