Job summary

Hatch is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to lead the technical delivery of hybrid power and electrification projects in Canada and internationally. Based in our Vancouver office, you will collaborate with utilities, communities, and industrial clients to integrate generation, energy storage, controls, and electrical infrastructure into reliable power systems.

The role requires an Electrical Engineering degree, Canadian P.Eng. designation, and 6–7 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline with substantial electrical power systems experience.
Professional Engineer registration in Canada.
Minimum 6-7 years of relevant electrical power systems experience.
Experience leading complex engineering assignments and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Lead engineering delivery and owner’s engineer assignments; define scopes, criteria, deliverables, and execution plans.
Review designs, equipment selections, and contractor submissions for compliance with requirements.
Lead electrical and control system integration; coordinate interfaces and establish operating conditions.
Perform techno-economic analyses related to renewable energy and energy storage integration.
Support clients and business development; communicate risks and contribute to proposals and delivery strategies.
Travel to project sites, including remote locations, as required.
