Hatch in Winnipeg, MB is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Project Delivery Group. The role focuses on large EPCM and smaller operations support projects in metals, infrastructure and energy, within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment that empowers individuals to make a difference.
The successful candidate will provide senior electrical engineering and design leadership, mentor engineers and designers, and coordinate with client engineers to ensure projects meet
Qualifications
- 7+ years of relevant experience in EPCM environments for utilities/metals.
- Engineering degree and Professional Engineer designation (PEO) required.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities within multi-disciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provides senior-level electrical engineering and design for projects within budget and schedule.
- Offers technical leadership and guidance to the electrical team.
- Mentors engineers-in-training and designers.
- Prepares and checks calculations and electrical equipment specifications.
- Checks vendor drawings for compliance with specifications.
- Develops detailed design, supply, construction and installation specifications.
- Develops conceptual designs, studies and proposals.
- Maintains effective communication with project teams and client engineers.
- Tracks project metrics and reports to the Area Project Engineering Manager.
