This role is designed for a highly connected HR professional with a strong industry network and a proven ability to generate high-quality candidate pipelines at scale.

A key mandate of this role is to attract, engage, and secure top-tier talent across all levels; particularly executive leadership (Directors, Vice Presidents) and project-based roles such as Project Managers, Project Coordinators, and Site Supervisors.

In addition, this position will serve as a central operational and administrative hub within the office, supporting executive leadership and ensuring seamless communication flow across departments.

Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Development
  • Lead and execute full-cycle recruitment for executive, corporate, and project-based roles.
  • Leverage an established professional network, industry relationships, and sourcing strategies to attract high-caliber candidates.
  • Drive large applicant volumes through optimized job postings, targeted outreach, and recruitment campaigns.
  • Build and maintain a strong, active pipeline of qualified candidates for ongoing and future project needs.
  • Partner with senior leadership on hiring strategy, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  • Manage external recruiters and headhunters where required, ensuring performance and cost efficiency.
2. Executive-Level Recruitment
  • Support the recruitment of senior leadership roles (Directors, VPs) through market mapping, candidate outreach, and process coordination.
  • Conduct initial screening and assessment of executive candidates.
  • Coordinate interview processes, reference checks, and offer negotiations in collaboration with ownership.
  • Oversee all HR functions including onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with company growth.
  • Ensure compliance with Ontario employment legislation and industry standards.

Qualifications & Experience
  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in HR and talent acquisition, preferably within the construction or related industries.
