Base pay range

CA$75,000.00/yr - CA$85,000.00/yr

Location: Fully on-site Monday-Friday in Downtown Toronto near Union Station

Compensation: CA$75,000 - CA$85,000 + perks (3 weeks of vacation, with increases after 2 and 5 years of service, employer-paid benefits, pension plan, team social events)

The Senior HR Advisor will be responsible for delivering expert and strategically driven HR advice to a dynamic and expanding client base, primarily through telephone calls. This role involves offering comprehensive guidance and solutions to clients across a broad spectrum of HR issues, from routine inquiries to complex matters.

Day-to-Day Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support all clients with quality advice in a productive manner to provide efficient, solution-based advice, mainly via calls, but occasionally through video conference and email.
  • Handle a variety of calls from clients regarding HR issues or queries, including absence management, disciplinaries, workplace violence and harassment, terminations, etc.
  • Provide clients with supporting information and documentation to assist them in implementing the advice or solutions provided.
  • Actively own cases to resolution, building rapport and working relationships with clients on each interaction.
  • Review client documentation and provide advice considering their internal terms and conditions.
  • Participate in ongoing training to keep HR and employment legislation knowledge current.
  • Achieve clear KPIs and work within SLAs to ensure first call resolution.
  • Log all advice accurately into Salesforce and other systems.
  • Follow internal protocols for managing and escalating cases when necessary.

Education/Experience:

  • Mandatory: Completed CPHR/CHRP designation.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of HR advising experience.
  • Degree or diploma from an accredited HR education or training program.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience in a KPI/target-driven environment, preferably in a shared service centre, is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to motivate others.
  • Organized self-starter with enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service.
