Job summary

LaowaiCareer in Vancouver, BC is seeking an Executive Assistant Director of Hotel Operations to oversee a portfolio of 10+ owned and managed hotels across North America, reporting to the Director of Operations.

This newly created role partners with senior leadership and hotel GMs to drive service standards, profitability, and growth while mentoring leadership teams and implementing best practices across properties; travel roughly 3x to the US and 2x to Toronto annually.

Qualifications

• Senior-level hotel operations experience.
• GM experience strongly preferred.
• Luxury or upscale hotel background.
• Ability to work credibly with experienced General Managers.
• Strong communication skills.
• Leadership presence with a commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Operations in overseeing operational performance across the hotel portfolio.
• Partner closely with General Managers to drive service standards, guest satisfaction, profitability, and operational excellence.
• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to hotel leadership teams.
• Review operational performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement best practices.
• Build strong relationships with General Managers and property-level leadership.
• Support strategic initiatives and operational projects across the portfolio.
• Ensure consistency in standards, processes, and guest experience across properties.
• Travel approximately 3 times annually to the US and 2 times annually to Toronto.
