Job summary

Cisco in Ottawa is seeking an experienced Mixed-Signal IC Design engineer to join the Acacia team on a hybrid schedule three days a week from the Ottawa office. You will help architect, design, and verify ultra-deep sub-micron CMOS blocks for high-speed optical transceivers and work with cross-functional teams across packaging, digital, and system design.

Qualifications

• BSEE degree with 12+ years of experience, or an MS degree with 8+ years of experience or a PhD with 5+ years of experience.
• High Speed Serial Links utilizing serializers, deserializers, and data convertors.
• Modeling requirements for system link simulations
• High Performance Output Drivers
• High Performance Phase Locked Loops
• Efficient clock transmission/propagation.
• Opamps and Programmable Gain Amplifiers.
• Equalization techniques.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts for a large block on a complex chip, mentor team members and track deliverables, participate in peer review of complex IC designs and provide solid design methodology from conception to production.
• Architect, design, layout, measure and productize ultra-deep sub-micron-based CMOS products.
• Collaborate with packaging and hardware design team to ensure signal and power integrity specifications are met.
• Mentor وتeam members and drive design verification and production readiness.
• Maintain a proactive approach to learning and applying best-in-class design practices.
