Job summary

ACCIONA is seeking a Senior Guideway Civil Coordinator to support civil engineering and construction activities on elevated guideway projects in Canada. You will coordinate with Technical, Environmental, Quality, and Safety teams, help manage schedules, and ensure adherence to budgets, quality, and safety standards.

Responsibilities include supervising subcontractors, reporting progress, reviewing change orders, and maintaining project documentation.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a construction coordinator or related role with experience in large infrastructure projects preferred.
• Experience with subway projects, including delivery, and handover of elevated guideway/ bridge assets is an asset.
• Experience with infrastructure and roadworks construction within complex dense urban areas is an asset.
• Experience with City of Toronto and OPSS standards and specifications is an asset.
• Experience with Metrolinx standards and specifications is an asset.
• Problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and BlueBeam Revu. Experience with AutoCAD is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate civil engineering and construction activities within the elevated guideway project.
• Coordinate with Technical, Environmental, Quality, and Safety departments to support construction success
• Support development and management of project schedules and provide status updates to the Civil Manager.
• Coordinate with the Civil Manager to align construction activities with overall project objectives.
• Oversee planning, design, and construction of roads and landscaping, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with design teams to report, analyze and track potential design changes and issues as they arise.
• Supervise subcontractors and construction teams, ensuring that all work is performed to the highest standards.
• Prepare and present regular progress reports, including updates on timelines, budget status, and any issues encountered.
• Review and validate subcontractor progress billings, maintaining accurate records for billing verification
• Facilitate meetings with internal and external parties to support construction
• Track and maintain accurate project documentation, including change orders, progress reports, quality documentation, permits, etc.
