Job summary

ACCIONA Energía seeks a Guideway Assistant Superintendent to oversee on-site construction of the elevated guideway in Ontario. You will support the Superintendent, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure timely delivery to safety and quality standards.

The role requires 3–5 years in similar infrastructure roles, a Civil/Structural or Construction Management background, and strong MS Office skills. Competitive CAD 90k–120k CAD yearly, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as an assistant superintendent or related role on large infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Civil/Structural Engineering or Construction Management; relevant experience may offset requirements.
• Knowledge of bridge/structural construction, specs, codes and standards.
• Experience with subway/light rail projects, including delivery and handover of elevated guideway assets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong problem‑solving and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities for the elevated guideway in collaboration with the Superintendent.
• Maintain project progress in line with the project schedule.
• Coordinate scheduling and procurement with supply chains and subcontractors.
• Direct and supervise subcontracted crews for guideway foundations, substructure, and superstructure.
• Ensure work complies with relevant standards, specifications, and codes.
• Assist in erection and lifting planning, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Keep accurate records: daily reports, inspections, and safety documentation.
• Conduct site safety inspections and align with Health and Safety policies.
