Job summary

Sofomation is seeking a senior geoscience/engineering expert with 20+ years of upstream E&P experience to lead seismic interpretation, survey optimization, and cross-disciplinary project integration. You will translate complex data into actionable decisions and guide geophysical components of exploration and development programs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Geoscience or Engineering with 20+ years of upstream experience.
• Knowledge of Seismic API.
• Advanced analysis like AVO/AVA, inversion and rock physics.
• Ability to assess geohazards such as faults, overpressure, instability or drilling risks.
• Ability to integrate seismic with well logs, core data and petrophysical interpretation.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and communication.

Responsibilities

• Translate complex geological data into actionable insights for decision-making.
• Manage geophysical components of exploration/development projects.
• Seismic interpretation (horizons, faults, stratigraphy) to build subsurface frameworks.
• Optimize survey design considering cost, data quality, and exploration risk.
• Integrate seismic with well logs, core data and petrophysical interpretation.
