Job summary

A leading petroleum services company is seeking a Contract Geophysicist in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will work with multidisciplinary teams, applying advanced geophysical interpretation techniques to optimize reservoir development and support long-term strategies. Ideal candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Geophysics, at least 8 years of relevant experience, and proficiency in seismic interpretation and visualization tools. This role supports the planning and execution of seismic programs and includes quality control for data processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related industry experience.
• Registered P. Geo with APEGA or other Provincial Professional Geoscience Organization.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced prospecting heavy role.

Responsibilities

• Work with asset geologists and engineers to plan well programs.
• Provide quality control for processing of seismic data.
• Interpret and generate depth converted seismic surfaces.
• Plan 2D and 3D seismic programs to reduce risks.
• Provide geophysical input for geomodels and reports.
