PHASOR Engineering Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Geologist to lead geo-structural design on large energy projects. You will focus on foundations, retaining structures, and civil sites while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in an office setting.

The role emphasizes geotechnical investigations, seismic and flood modeling, and design document development to support construction and design-build delivery. A strong background in geotechnical analysis and communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Geologic Science or related field required.
• Registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) required.
• Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in geotechnical, transmission, or substation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support a team of engineering geologists, geotechnical engineers, and staff, providing guidance and evaluations.
• Execute assignments applying standard and advanced engineering techniques for geo-structural tasks.
• Interface with project leadership across geotechnical, geological, structural, and civil teams.
• Oversee field subcontractor activities, such as geotechnical drilling and testing and forensics studies.
• Develop written reports and communicate information professionally to stakeholders.
• Develop and manage project budgets, monitor expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
• Lead geological hazard modeling for geotechnical design, including seismic/fault and flood/scour modeling.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure high standards of workmanship and materials.
• Work under supervision of Engineering Director or Engineering Manager in office setting.
