Placements24 seeks a Senior Upstream Oil & Gas Reservoir Engineer to join the Kimberley-based team. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote flexibility to optimize reservoir performance and development plans.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in upstream reservoir engineering, strong skills in ECLIPSE/INTERSECT/CMG and a track record in production forecasting, economic evaluation, and cross-functional teamwork.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced roles.
• Minimum 8 years of upstream reservoir engineering experience.
• Proven expertise in reservoir simulation software (ECLIPSE, INTERSECT, CMG).
• Experience in production forecasting, decline curve analysis, and economic evaluation.
• Familiarity with EOR techniques and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsabilités

• Analyze reservoir performance data to understand reservoir behavior.
• Develop optimized reservoir management strategies to maximize hydrocarbon recovery.
• Build and use reservoir simulation models to predict future performance.
• Perform economic evaluations including risked reserves and profitability.
• Identify opportunities for EOR and recovery improvement techniques.
• Conduct uncertainty analysis and risk mitigation recommendations.
• Collaborate with drilling, production, and geosciences teams for integrated development.
• Prepare technical reports and presentations for management and joint venture partners.
• Mentor junior reservoir engineers and contribute to technical development.
• Stay current with reservoir engineering advancements.
