Job summary

Scotiabank is seeking a Senior Reporting Analyst to join the Financial & Regulatory Reporting team in Toronto. The role focuses on coordinating regulatory filings, financial statements, audits, MRFPs, expense budgets and MER tracking for investment funds.

The incumbent will work independently within guidelines, drive process improvements and mentor junior team members while collaborating with senior partners across divisions of the bank.

Qualifications

• Accounting designation or working towards is required.
• 2-3 years of related fund administration experience is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and Access is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements and MRFPs for semi-annual and annual periods.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Prepare and review month-end reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with fund launches, prospectus renewals and amendments.
• Collaborate with other departments on information requests.
• Review fund expenses, absorption and MER calculations.
• Mentor junior/co-op team members and lead ad hoc analyses.
