Job summary

Peoples Group is seeking a Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst to prepare, analyze, and submit complex regulatory reports for multiple entities. You'll work in a dynamic, hybrid environment across Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto offices, focusing on data integrity and process improvements.

The role demands strong Excel skills, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects while supporting audits and regulatory inquiries. Relocation within commutable distance may be required.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years in regulatory reporting or similar
  • Experience with Canada regulators (OSFI/CDIC/AMF/BCFSA) is preferred
  • Strong analytical and data management skills
  • Independent problem solving and attention to detail
  • Willingness to relocate for commutable distance if needed

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory financial returns (capital, liquidity, etc.)
  • Extract and analyze large data sets to support reporting requirements
  • Lead process improvement and automation projects for reporting
  • Collaborate with team to manage deliverables and deadlines
  • Monitor regulatory guidelines and maintain compliance
  • Support audits and regulatory inquiries as needed

Job description

We are hiring for this position out of our Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary offices. Successful candidates who apply outside of these areas will be expected to relocate and reside in a location that is within a commutable distance.

About The Role

The Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst is responsible for the accurate preparation, analysis, and submission of complex regulatory reports for internal and external stakeholders. This role requires strong analytical capabilities, advanced data management skills, and a high degree of attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and reporting standards. The successful candidate thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and demonstrates a proactive approach to problem-solving, process improvement, and continuous learning.

About The Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in regulatory reporting, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Working experience with one of Canada’s financial regulators (OSFI, CDIC, AMF, or BCFSA).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience working with large datasets
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with demonstrated sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of independently identifying and resolving issues.
  • Adaptable and responsive to changing business priorities, regulatory requirements, and organizational needs.
  • Experience and ability to understand and interpret complex concepts within a multi-entity financial services environment.
  • Holding or working towards CPA designation (or equivalent).
About The Day-to-day
  • Prepare, review, and submit complex regulatory financial returns, including capital, liquidity, and other regulatory filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Extract, validate, consolidate, and analyze large volumes of financial and operational data to support regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Lead and support special projects and process improvement initiatives, including the development of automated reporting solutions and implementation of regulatory change requirements.
  • Collaborate with regulatory reporting team members to manage reporting deliverables, prioritize competing deadlines, and provide cross-functional support and backup coverage as required.
  • Monitor, interpret, and apply new and existing regulatory guidelines to ensure ongoing compliance and reporting accuracy.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement through ongoing learning, knowledge sharing, and enhancement of reporting processes and controls.
  • Maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and support regulatory inquiries, audits, and examinations as required.

About The Work Environment

Peoples Group offers a flexible and hybrid work environment. In this role you will work a combination of in-office and remotely from home. Typically, you'll be working regular business hours, Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:30pm with flexibility around start/end times.

Compensation

The expected salary for this role is approximately $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
