Job summary

Stantec is seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Canada. You will build modern web apps using Python (Django or similar) with rich frontends and AI-driven architectures.

You will design scalable systems, implement end-to-end tests with PyTest and Playwright, manage databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL) and deploy in OpenShift or Kubernetes. 5+ years of experience required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Python and at least one mainstream framework (Django/FastAPI/Flask).
• Front-end experience with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js; select appropriate tool per UI requirement.
• Experience with PyTest, Playwright, and Locust.io for testing and validation.
• Extensive experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL and advanced querying.
• Experience with Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Java (JSF/ADF) or C# experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Python (Django or similar).
• Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces using Angular, HTMX, or Alpine.js.
• Develop end-to-end tests with PyTest and Playwright; implement load testing with Locust.io.
• Manage large-scale databases (Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL) for performance.
• Deploy and manage applications in OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
• Incorporate AI-driven workflows by integrating LLMs and autonomous agents.
