Stantec is seeking a seasoned Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Canada. The role combines robust Python backends with sophisticated frontends and AI-driven architectures, with a focus on scalable web applications and modern workflows.

You will work across Python, Django, Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js, deploying in OpenShift or Kubernetes environments, while tuning databases like Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level Python with Django, FastAPI, or Flask.
• Front-end proficiency with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js.
• Experience with PyTest, Playwright, and Locust.io.
• Deep database experience: Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes or OpenShift.
• Java (JSF, ADF) or C# experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Python (Django or similar).
• Build dynamic user interfaces with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js for modern SPAs and reactive workflows.
• Develop end-to-end tests with PyTest and Playwright; implement load testing with Locust.io.
• Manage large-scale databases (Oracle, MS-SQL, PostgreSQL) for performance and integrity.
• Deploy and manage apps in OpenShift or Kubernetes environments.
• Incorporate LLMs and autonomous agents to enhance automation and UX.
