Job summary

Stantec seeks a Senior Full Stack Developer to join our engineering team in Canada. You’ll balance Python backends (Django/Flask) with modern frontends (Angular, HTMX, Alpine.js) and AI-driven architectures.

You will implement robust testing, scalable databases, and containerized deployments in OpenShift or Kubernetes. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of professional software development, expert Python, and experience with Docker, CI tests, and performance tuning.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level knowledge of Python and at least one mainstream framework (Django, FastAPI, or Flask).
• Experience with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js for dynamic UIs.
• Proven testing with PyTest, Playwright, Locust.io.
• Extensive experience with Oracle, MS-SQL Server, and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain robust, scalable web applications using Python (Django or similar).
• Build dynamic, responsive user interfaces with Angular, HTMX, and Alpine.js.
• Develop end-to-end tests with PyTest and Playwright; implement load testing with Locust.io.
• Manage large-scale databases: Oracle, MS-SQL Server, PostgreSQL.
• Deploy and manage applications in OpenShift/Kubernetes environments.
• Incorporate LLMs and autonomous agents to enhance automation and UX.
