Job summary

Placements24 seeks a Senior Operations Manager to oversee production, warehousing and distribution for the Kimberley region. The role requires a strong FMCG background, strategic leadership, and the ability to drive efficiency, quality and cost performance across end-to-end operations.

You will lead a large team, ensure health and safety compliance, and collaborate with procurement, sales and QA to deliver seamless operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management or related field.
• 7+ years in operations management in FMCG.
• Experience with complex supply chains and distribution.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• ERP systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations including production, inventory, and distribution.
• Develop strategies to optimize efficiency, reduce costs and improve service levels.
• Mentor a team of operational staff and supervisors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
• Implement and maintain warehousing and logistics best practices.
• Manage operational budgets, forecast resources and control costs.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales and QA for seamless operations.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions to meet targets.
• Drive continuous improvement across all operational areas.
