Qualifications

About the Role

Our client, a major player in the national distribution network, is seeking an experienced Logistics Supervisor to oversee operations at their busy distribution hub in Kimberley , Northern Cape. This role is critical for ensuring the efficient flow of goods, managing warehouse staff, coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, and maintaining optimal inventory levels. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to operational excellence and safety. This hybrid role allows for significant on-site presence to manage daily operations, coupled with remote flexibility for strategic planning and reporting. You will play a key part in optimizing the supply chain within the region and ensuring timely delivery to customers across the province. We are looking for a proactive, results-oriented individual to lead a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse supervision, logistics management, or a similar role. Proven experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory control. Strong understanding of supply chain principles and distribution operations. Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a warehouse setting. Proficiency in relevant software, including MS Office and logistics platforms. Experience in route planning and fleet coordination is a plus. Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to operational challenges. Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is advantageous.
