Qualifications

• BS or MS in Food Chemistry is required.
• 5–7 years of product development or applications experience in the US food/beverage processing industry.
• Detail-oriented with ability to resolve complex flavor/ingredient interactions in food matrices.
• Project management training and SAP proficiency are preferred.
• Willingness to travel ~30%.
• Strong written and oral English communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead the applications function within the Functional Systems BU across Food and Beverage applications.
• Design applications experiments with food and flavor chemists to assess stability of functional systems.
• Develop new outside-the-box applications for functional systems and understand health-related ingredient limitations.
• Establish expert knowledge in food science and product development for commercialization of functional systems.
• Act as technical liaison between flavor applications and commercial development at Giraffe Foods sites.
• Apply understanding of taste modulation tools across multiple applications.
