Job summary

Fiera Capital, an independent asset manager, is seeking a Senior Analyst to join the Finance and Controller team in Montreal. You will prepare annual and semi-annual statements for FCC pooled funds and support monthly close, working with third-party providers across auditors, translators, and fund administrators.

The role requires IFRS and NI 81-106 knowledge, strong Microsoft Office skills, and bilingual English/French communication. A CPA designation is an asset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration and/or related college degree.
• 2-3 years of experience preparing and analyzing financial statements, corporate accounting and/or fund accounting.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS and NI 81-106 as it relates to accounting and financial reporting.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Fluently bilingual (English and French) both written and oral.
• CPA designation, or completed the examination requirements of CPA program (an asset).

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and production of annual and semi-annual financial statements of the FCC Pooled Funds and assist in the month-end corporate accounting close for FCC including related financial analysis.
• Create draft versions of financial statements using available content, templates and guidelines.
• Manage relationship between third-party service providers and vendors to ensure execution of duties to the highest standard.
• Develop and write new content when needed.
• Proofread documents to ensure consistency of information and make corrections when needed.
• Perform validation checks including variance analysis to detect potential errors.
• Review documents for layout of text and graphics, and check for compositional errors.
• Manage deadlines and monitor ongoing progress of the financial statement production.
• Compare original and translated documents to ensure accuracy.
• Participate in various projects to optimize processes for Fiera funds.
• Develop enhanced procedures for a growing global pooled vehicle business.
