Job summary

Fiera Capital is seeking a Senior Analyst, Valuation & Analytics to join the Finance and Operations team. You will support valuation of private investments, develop financial models, and enhance processes with automation and AI.

Collaboration with investment teams, IR, auditors, and external specialists is essential. The role focuses on valuation, performance measurement, investor reporting, and technology-enabled analytics in a dynamic, global firm.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of valuation, transaction advisory, investment management, or related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Master's or MBA considered an asset.
• CBV/CFA or progress toward designation an asset.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of fair value measurement and Canadian accounting standards.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, 365).
• Fluently bilingual (English and French).

Responsibilities

• Valuation & financial analysis: determine fair value for private investments and prepare valuation reports.
• Performance analytics: compute monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics and validate data.

What we are looking for:

To support our continued growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Senior Analyst, Valuation & Analytics to join the Fiera Comox Finance and Operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a forward-thinking professional who is passionate about valuation, financial analysis, technology, and innovation. The successful candidate will contribute not only to the valuation of private investments but also to the continuous enhancement of valuation processes through automation, artificial intelligence, and operational improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President, Valuation, you will work closely with investment professionals, finance teams, Investor Relations professionals, external valuation specialists, and auditors to support the valuation, performance measurement, investor reporting, and fundraising support functions.

Your responsibilities:

Valuation & Financial Analysis Support

• fair value determination across all private investment strategies.
• Prepare quarterly and annual valuation reports and analyses.
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses.
• Research market, industry, transaction and macroeconomic data.
• Prepare Valuation Committee materials and assist to Valuation Committee meetings.
• Provide analytical support to investment teams.

Performance Measurement & Analytics

• Calculate, review and analyze monthly, quarterly and annual performance metrics.
• Support preparation, reconciliation and validation of performance information used in investor reporting and marketing materials.
• Investigate performance results and identify key drivers of returns.
• Enhance performance measurement processes, controls and reporting tools.
• Assist with performance attribution and portfolio analytics.

Investor Reporting, RFPs & Business Development

• Support Investor Relations and Business Development teams in responding to RFPs, DDQs and consultant surveys.
• Prepare and validate financial, valuation, performance and portfolio information for prospective and existing investors.
• Coordinate with investment, finance, accounting and operations teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of investor information.
• Assist with investor presentations, fundraising materials and ad hoc analyses.
• Respond to investor inquiries relating to valuation, performance and portfolio characteristics.

Technology, Automation & AI-Enabled Analytics

• Leverage AI, automation and analytical tools to enhance workflows.
• Use Microsoft Copilot, Power BI and similar technologies to improve research, analysis, reporting and workflow efficiency.
• Develop automated reporting templates, dashboards and validation controls.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend practical applications.
• Apply professional judgment and skepticism to validate AI-generated outputs.

Reporting, Governance & Audit Support

• Coordinate external valuation audits.
• Support valuation documentation, controls and governance procedures.
• Contribute to reporting quality, process controls and continuous improvement.

Must have requirements to be successful in this role:

• 3+ years of experience in valuation, transaction advisory, investment management, corporate finance, accounting, audit, consulting, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Master's degree or MBA considered an asset.
• CBV, CFA, or progress toward a professional designation considered an asset.
• Strong financial modeling, valuation and analytical skills.
• Knowledge of fair value measurement and Canadian accounting standards.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and Microsoft 365.
• Strong ability to assess and validate AI-generated information.
• Experience with Capital IQ, PitchBook, Bloomberg, FactSet or similar platforms is an asset.
• Familiarity with Python, VBA, Power Query, SQL, Power Automate or similar technologies is an asset.
• Fluently bilingual (English and French) both written and oral.

Our workplace model includes 4 days a week in the office, Monday through Thursday. #LI-Hybrid For roles based in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in spoken and written French is required. A working knowledge of English is also necessary to collaborate with our global teams and clients.
