Job summary

IPEX, based at the Montreal office, is seeking a Manager of Financial Accounting to lead the North American accounting team under the Controller. The role requires IFRS expertise, multi-currency operations, and a proactive leadership style.

The hybrid work model includes in-office presence Tuesday to Thursday. You will drive month-end closes, coordinate audits with Big 4, and partner with Shared Services and Tax to maintain strong internal controls, while mentoring 12 accountants and guiding

Qualifications

• CPA designation required.
• 5+ years accounting experience.
• 3+ years management experience.
• Strong IFRS and multi-currency knowledge.
• Experience with external audits (Big 4).
• ERP implementation and SAP experience is a plus.
• Experience in manufacturing or global environment is an asset.
• Knowledge of US/Canada tax regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of 12 financial accountants.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end closes for the NA operations.
• Coordinate with tax, treasury, and shared services.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Drive internal controls improvements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits (Big 4).
• Oversee IFRS reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Assist with ERP transition and system enhancements.
