Job summary

Qualifications

  • University degree in finance or equivalent required.
  • Strong Excel skills and ability to learn new systems.
  • Power Query and Power BI are assets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Advanced organizational and interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to enhance existing reports and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes, focusing on data collection, reporting accuracy, and automation.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external audits.
  • Assist with the monthly financial close process, including monitoring account activity and reconciliations.
  • Prepare and analyze ad hoc tariff-related reports to support business operations and cross-functional decisions.
  • Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives.

The successful candidate will support the ongoing optimization of financial processes and reporting to help the organization effectively navigate the evolving tariff landscape. This role will contribute to the monthly financial close process, analyze and improve reporting, and participate in special projects that enhance operational efficiency and support informed business decision-making. The position offers an opportunity to collaborate across teams, drive process improvements, and adapt to changing business and regulatory requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to enhance existing reports and improve operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and implement streamlined processes, with a focus on data collection, reporting accuracy, and automation.
  • Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for external audits.

Requirements
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:

University degree or equivalent education in finance.

Proficiency in Power Query and Power BI considered an asset

Knowledge of Bill of Materials considered an asset

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational and interpersonal abilities

Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and a demonstrated ability to learn new systems
