Job summary

Green Infrastructure Partners Inc. is seeking a Field Engineer to lead the integration of design and field operations for complex Support-of-Excavation projects in Toronto, ON.

You will act as the critical link between design intent and site execution for large-scale infrastructure programs. The role covers field engineering and execution, technical coordination with design and survey teams, planning and controls, and strict safety/compliance management.

Qualifications

• Education: B.Eng./B.Sc. in Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience: 2-5 years in heavy civil construction.
• Credentials: EIT considered with strong field record.
• Work Authorization: Permanent Resident of Canada or Canadian citizen.
• Training: WHMIS, First Aid; rail/transit safety certifications.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to travel across project sites.
• Site-based role with shift work including nights/weekends.
• Physically able to work in heavy civil construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Field Engineering & Execution: lead integration of design and field operations for SOE projects.
• Technical Coordination: review drawings, raise RFIs, coordinate temporary works and shop drawings.
• Planning & Controls: develop lookahead schedules, track production and material usage.
• Safety & Compliance: lead JHAs, toolbox talks, and permit/environmental compliance.
