The Toronto Star Newspapers Ltd. is seeking an experienced Event Sales Manager to lead the Live Events sponsorship sales efforts, coach the Sales Representative team, and drive revenue through executive engagement.

Reporting to the VP, Sales, you will shape pitches, participate in client meetings, develop sponsorship packages with tiered offerings, and ensure seamless handoffs to events production and marketing.

Formación

• 6–10 years of sponsorship or media sales experience, with 2–3 years in a managerial or team-lead role.
• Proven track record closing event sponsorships or media partnerships with direct clients.

Responsabilidades

• Lead annual commercial planning for Live Events, including pricing strategy and go-to-market.
• Own sponsorship revenue targets, track team performance, mitigate risks with VP of Sales.
• Act as senior sales supervisor in client meetings to advance deals and credibility.
• Coach reps on ideation, package development, proposals, objections, and pipeline progression.
• Identify gaps in sponsorship pipelines and drive targeted outreach with reps.
• Develop tiered sponsorship packages and integrated presenting structures.
• Ensure comprehensive sponsor briefings with program managers at handoff.
• Cultivate senior-level client relationships through the full sales lifecycle.
• Collaborate with events production, digital, creative and marketing teams on assets and materials.
• Attend Toronto Star Live Events as a brand ambassador to sponsors and partners.
