Job summary

BAUER Foundations Canada Inc. is seeking a Senior Estimator to generate project and business opportunities from Burnaby/Vancouver, BC, or Oakville, ON.

You will analyze inquiries, prepare tenders, and present design concepts while negotiating complex technical and commercial issues with clients and stakeholders. The role requires a civil engineering degree, 2–5 years in ground engineering, and strong time-management and English skills; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering required.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in ground engineering or special foundations.
• Experience with proposal preparation and project engineering applications.
• Cost engineering or applications engineering experience is an asset; site experience in ground engineering techniques is beneficial.
• Fluency in English; French proficiency is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Analyze inquiry packages, communicate with clients, and understand their needs.
• Assess alternate methods to provide cost and time savings to clients.
• Prepare and review technical tenders, bids, and tender documentation.
• Interpret and respond to complex technical specifications.
• Present design concepts to clients and other stakeholders.
• Negotiate and communicate complex technical and commercial issues to diverse audiences.
• Identify and evaluate new markets and selling points through prospecting, networking, and industry events.
