Job summary

isgSearch is seeking a Senior Estimator to support the estimating team on commercial construction projects in Canada. The role provides technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight of complex bids, collaborating with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, and Operations.

You will review drawings and bid documents, lead detailed estimates for varied projects, and drive process improvements in estimating accuracy and efficiency. Occasional travel to client sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in architectural technology, construction management, or related field.
• 5+ years estimating experience, ideally with window wall, curtain wall, railings, and/or metal cladding.
• Strong knowledge of drawings, specifications, scopes, and bid documents.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Mentor estimators and help manage workload, priorities, and schedules.
• Oversee detailed estimates for projects of varying size and complexity.
• Review drawings, specs, scopes, risks, exclusions, and assumptions.
• Serve as a technical resource on complex or high-value bids.
• Collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Engineering, Procurement, and Operations.
• Participate in pre-bid meetings, scope reviews, and value engineering.
• Support transition from estimating to project execution.
• Improve estimating processes, accuracy, and efficiency.
• Maintain estimating databases, assemblies, and historical cost information.
• Provide coaching and feedback to junior estimators.
