Job summary

A leading supplier of architectural cladding materials is seeking an Architectural Estimator to play a key role in project estimation and takeoff for construction projects. Candidates will work closely with project management, architects, and developers to provide detailed estimates for metal cladding systems. This full-time position based in Aurora offers competitive salary, opportunities for advancement, and a supportive team environment. Ideal candidates will have relevant education and experience, especially with tools like Planswift and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience as an architectural estimator.
• At least one year of experience in façade and cladding design.
• At least one year of experience estimating commercial projects.
• Knowledge of building envelope and rain screen systems.
• At least one year of experience with Planswift/ AutoCad.
• Knowledge of building code regarding cladding and enveloping.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
• Experience Estimating and Bidding Commercial projects such as Educational, Big Box, Government, Office Retail, Multi Family Apartments and Residential.
• Exceptional communication, organization skills, and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings and project specifications to determine project scope.
• Prepare estimates of cladding requirements for new construction.
• Communicate with clients regarding RFIs and any addendums.
• Draft 2D and 3D basic building systems and mark-up drawings.
• Communicate with clients regarding RFI’s and addendums.
• Follow up with clients for approvals after sending quotes.

Overview

Architectural Estimator: Alumax Panel is a leading supplier and installer of architectural cladding material with a focus on Aluminum Composite Material (ACM) and Siding. We are looking for a driven, organized, and detail-oriented person to estimate and take off projects involving metal cladding systems for small and large scale construction projects. You will be working with the project management team, senior management, architects, builders, developers, and building owners to provide estimate breakdowns and pricing.

Competencies

• A college or university degree in areas such as architecture, architectural technologies, construction management, or similar.

• Communications with clients for approvals including follow ups after sending quotes.
