Job summary

Agilis by Synergie is seeking a Senior Estimator in Edmonton to develop detailed estimates, perform takeoffs, and price self-performed and subcontracted work for large ICI projects over $50M. You will review drawings and specs, manage subcontractor pricing, identify risks and opportunities, and support competitive bid strategies across CM, Design-Build and Hard Bid delivery models.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of estimating experience, holds a Civil Engineering or Construction Management

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience on ICI construction projects over $50M
• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline
• Possess or be eligible for PQS or CET designation
• Experience with estimating software including Timberline and On-Screen Takeoff

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed estimates, takeoffs and pricing for self-performed and subcontracted work
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers
• Review drawings, specifications and contract documents for scope requirements

Senior Estimator | Lead Major ICI Construction Estimates on Projects Exceeding $50M Agilis by Synergie is recruiting for a Senior Estimator

Join a leading construction team as a Senior Estimator and play a key role in the successful delivery of major ICI projects valued at $50M+. This position is responsible for developing accurate estimates, managing subcontractor pricing, supporting preconstruction activities, identifying project risks and opportunities, and contributing to competitive bid strategies across a variety of project delivery models.

Work on diverse delivery models including CM, Design-Build and Hard Bid

Collaborate with experienced project and preconstruction teams

Influence project strategy from budgeting through tender close

Participate in value engineering and project development initiatives

Build strong industry relationships with clients and subcontractors

Work from the Edmonton, Alberta office location

Total rewards: $110000.00 - $150000.00 annually

A typical day:

Successful candidates will have:

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Possess or be eligible for PQS or CET designation
• Demonstrate 10+ years of estimating experience on ICI construction projects over $50M
• Apply extensive knowledge of estimating methods, tendering and contract negotiations
• Interpret construction drawings, specifications and technical documentation
• Utilize estimating software including Timberline and On-Screen Takeoff
• Maintain strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Adobe
• Build effective relationships while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
