Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Site Investigation & Remediation (SIR) Senior Team Leader for the Eastern Canada Environmental Services team.

Your Opportunity

The Environmental Services Team for Eastern Canada is experiencing sustained growth, and to support this growth, we are looking to add a Site Investigation & Remediation (SIR) Senior Team Leader (STL). The SIR STL will report directly to the Business Centre Operations Leader (BCOL) and work closely with the Business Centre Practice Leaders (BCPLs). The success of this role will require extensive collaboration with SIR Team Leaders - who will report to the STL - Project Managers, field coordinator(s), and resources outside of BC1214.

Your Key Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire

• Oversee resource planning, staffing, and scheduling across projects

• Support high-quality project execution in SIR and related disciplines and field services
• Collaborate with BCOL, BCPLs, and PMs to forecast resource demand, identify staffing gaps, and proactively align resources with upcoming opportunities

Partner & Influence

• Collaborate with BC Leadership to execute BC growth strategies. - Act as a primary resource for staffing, proposal planning, and opportunity pursuit activities.
• Support proposal development, including scope development, staffing plans, schedule development, and review of technical content.
• Participate in go/no-go evaluations, capture planning, and strategic opportunity reviews.
• Support client relationship management through participation in key client discussions and account planning activities.
• Partner with BC leadership to implement new programs, processes, and strategic initiatives, helping teams navigate change and integrate new ways of working.

Develop Talent

• Coach and mentor TLs to support career growth and succession planning
• Lead performance management, goal setting, and development planning
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention of top talent

Enable Growth & Innovation

• Support development and maintenance of strategic client relationships within Atlantic Canada and beyond as appropriate based on your core client focus.
• Assist in preparing proposals, expressions of interest, and qualification packages.
• Manage projects and/or tasks in accordance with Stantec’s PM Framework.
• Deliver projects and technical assignments while maintaining strong client relationships and identifying follow-on work. Participate in project work while maintaining utilization targets

• Comprehensive knowledge of Environmental Services (SIR) industry in Atlantic Canada with an established network of internal and industry contacts
• Strong technical background in environmental services.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with an ability to clearly convey and distill complex information to a variety of audiences.
• Ability to constructively manage conflict and maintain confidential personnel matters
• Proficiency in English is required to facilitate collaboration with our internal teams outside of Quebec and with our clients.

Education and Experience

• A degree or diploma in a discipline related to Environmental Sciences
• Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience of related work experience in leading or managing environmental teams and/or environmental projects in a consulting environment
• A valid driver’s license

Position will be hybrid but primarily work in an office setting. Travel will be required to other Stantec office locations, the field and/or meetings with clients.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
