Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior Team Member Relations Partner to guide managers through complex team member relations matters globally, including investigations, policy compliance, and risk reduction. The role reports to the Team Member Relations Director and operates with high autonomy on sensitive issues.

You will collaborate with Legal and People Business Partners, shape team member relations practices, and support governance across jurisdictions in a fully remote, global organization.

Qualifications

• Progressive employee or team member relations experience, including leading complex investigations.
• Knowledge of multi-jurisdiction employment issues and applicable laws.
• Ability to coach leaders and manage confidential workplace matters with tact.

Responsibilities

• Lead sensitive investigations from intake to resolution, interviewing team members and documenting findings.
• Coach leaders on performance management and related policy issues.
• Support proactive programs to prevent workplace issues and reduce risk.
• Partner with Legal and People Business Partners to review cases and ensure consistent decisions.
• Help develop and revise policies as GitLab scales and aligns with laws and values.
• Analyze case trends and share insights with Legal and People teams.
• Contribute to initiatives across regions with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Interpret employment laws to support global governance of team member relations.
