Job summary

Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, seeks a Manager, Global Employee Relations to build a scalable ER function across NA, EMEA, APAC and LATAM. This hands-on role handles investigations, policy creation, and partner coaching for distributed People teams.

The role requires 5+ years in ER with multi-region experience, strong policy design, and excellent judgment. Hybrid work is expected with local office presence. Compensation reflects seniority and market range.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive employee relations experience, including at least 2 years supporting employee relations across multiple countries or regions.
• Demonstrated experience leading workplace investigations independently, from intake through resolution and written findings.
• Working knowledge of employment law fundamentals across at least two of Clio's operating regions (North America, EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
• Experience authoring and iterating HR/ER policy from scratch, including piloting changes with stakeholder feedback.
• Ability to coach and influence managers and senior leaders through sensitive situations with empathy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, translating complex policy into clear guidance.
• Excellent judgment, discretion, and composure with confidential information.
• Comfort operating with autonomy in a distributed and evolving environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end ER caseload globally — intake, triage, investigation, resolution, and documentation across harassment, discrimination, misconduct, performance disputes and policy violations.
• Conduct thorough, impartial workplace investigations and deliver findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a global ER case management framework scalable across regions and time zones.
• Act as escalation point for high-risk ER matters balancing legal risk, business needs and employee experience.
• Maintain knowledge of ER norms across regions including U.S., Canada, EMEA, APAC and LATAM.
• Localize ER processes and communications to land legally and land well with local employees and works councils.
• Design and author global ER policies and ensure localization stays aligned to a single framework.
