Job summary

Wesko Locks, a member of the ASSA ABLOY group, seeks an experienced Firmware Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for electronic locking products in Mississauga, Ontario. You will work with hardware teams to enable reliable performance, sensors, and wireless connectivity.

You will implement I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, and Wi‑Fi, debug issues, and contribute to product validation, documentation, and releases.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of embedded firmware or software development experience.
• Post-secondary education in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in C programming and embedded systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for Wesko Locks’ electronic products.
• Develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C and RTOS environments.
• Implement and support communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, and Wi-Fi.
