Wesko Locks in Mississauga, Ontario, seeks an experienced Firmware Developer to design, develop and maintain embedded firmware for electronic locking products on-site. You will implement I2C/SPI/UART interfaces and wireless connectivity while collaborating with hardware and software teams to ensure robust product performance.

Applicants should have 5–7 years of embedded firmware experience, strong C skills, RTOS familiarity, and a degree in a related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong proficiency in C programming.
• Experience with embedded systems and microcontroller-based products.
• Knowledge of communication interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and UART.
• Experience with wireless technologies such as BLE and Wi‑Fi.
• Familiarity with RTOS, and development tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain embedded firmware for Wesko Locks’ electronic products.
• Develop firmware for microcontroller-based systems using C and RTOS environments.
• Implement and support communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, BLE, and Wi‑Fi.
• Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve firmware issues through root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with hardware and engineering teams throughout product development.
• Integrate firmware with sensors, peripherals, and communication modules.
• Support product validation, testing, and verification activities.
• Assist with firmware releases, updates, and technical documentation.
