Job summary

Babcock Canada is seeking a Principal Test Specialist, Electrical (Permanent) in Victoria, BC. You will oversee testing, acceptance and maintenance of submarine systems, mentor senior staff, and drive safe, reliable operation of critical assets.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of electrical testing experience, professional engineering registration or eligibility, and hands-on leadership in marine or offshore environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related technical experience.
• Experience operating, testing/commissioning electrical systems.
• Professional Engineer (P.Eng) or eligible within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Oversee testing, acceptance and maintenance activities for various Victoria Class Submarine systems.
• Direct a Test Director and multidisciplinary staff during testing.
• Mentor Senior Test Specialists and Test Specialists.
• Draft and review test documentation and work instructions.
• Identify risks and communicate complex issues to stakeholders.
