Babcock Canada is seeking a Commissioning Manager in Victoria, BC (Permanent) to lead a team conducting testing, acceptance and maintenance for Victoria Class Submarine systems. You will help ensure reliable, safe operation for defence and civil customers.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in a marine environment, PE licensure or equivalent, and strong leadership and communication skills. This role involves coordinating with program managers in a shipyard setting and mentoring the commissioning

Qualifications

• Significant operational experience (12+ years) in a marine environment.
• Proven leadership skills with technical teams.
• Registration to practice as a Professional Engineer or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership, oversight and management for a team of engineers and technologists conducting testing, acceptance and maintenance activities for Victoria Class Submarine systems.
• Assess, treat, document, and communicate risks associated with submarine platform and mission systems to internal and external customers.
• Mentor and guide Commissioning Team personnel and support submarine operators and maintainers in various environments.
