Aecon Group Inc. is seeking a Sr. Safety/EHS Advisor to promote a health, safety, and environmental culture across utility and energy construction projects in Stouffville, Ontario.

You will lead EHS leadership, conduct inspections and investigations, and deliver training to diverse stakeholders. With 3–5+ years in HSE within construction, you’ll develop and maintain safety programs, support incident response, audits, and regulatory compliance while working closely with field teams and clients to

Qualifications

• 3 to 5+ years of Health, Safety and Environment experience within construction.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario health and safety legislation and related standards.
• Experience conducting incident investigations, safety inspections, audits, training, and performance reporting.

Responsibilities

• Provide EHS leadership and support for utility and energy construction operations originating from Stouffville yard.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, hazard assessments, and incident investigations with corrective actions.
• Deliver EHS orientations, training programs, toolbox talks, and safety presentations.
• Coach and mentor EHS Advisors and teams to improve safety performance.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of safety programs, emergency response plans, and safe work practices.
• Manage EHS reporting, analytics, performance metrics, and monthly dashboards.
• Act as client-facing EHS representative and support client safety requirements.
• Support business initiatives including incident response, audits, claims management, and return-to-work programs.
