Job summary

Qualcomm Canada ULC is seeking an experienced ASIC Engineer to define, model, design, and optimize IP blocks and SoCs for high-performance products. You will lead architecture and RTL development, verify complex IP, and collaborate across design and verification teams in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong SystemVerilog, VHDL and Verilog skills, experience with UVM, and familiarity with Ethernet/OTN protocols. This is a replacement position in the engineering group.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 10+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 9+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 8+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• Standard Protocol knowledge – Ethernet, ESUN, UALink, OTN
• Solid experience with VHDL, Verilog and SystemVerilog
• Experience with ASIC tools
• Experience in SystemVerilog+UVM
• Excellent ability to use Randomized and Directed Verification Methodologies
• Experience with Unix/Linux Shell scripting
• Experience with source code revisioning systems, SVN, CVS, RCS e.g.

• Lead the Ethernet/UALink/OTN ASIC IP architecture development for AI and datacenter.
• Work with design and verification teams in ASIC or ASIC IP projects
• Interact with different functional groups for IP requirements and system requirements.
• Architect, develop and document the ASIC/IP design
• RTL development in SystemVerilog or Verilog V2K/VHDL
• Architect and develop models to verify system architecture.
• Provide oversight and direction to employees/teams in accordance with the organization’s policies and procedures.
• Coach, mentor and develop staff, including overseeing new employee onboarding and provide career development planning and opportunities.

What You’ll Need

• MSEE with 8 years of experience or BSEE with 10 years of experience in ASIC or IP development
